She’s presented live bulletins for ITN, gone undercover for several newspapers and worked as a freelance producer on the busy newsdesks at ITN Productions, ITV News, NBC and Setanta Sports News.

Helen writes regularly for The Times, Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent, The Daily Mail, and various magazines. She has a monthly column in The Erotic Review – ‘Notes from a Commitment-phobe.’

She won an award for Radio 4’s File on 4 and has produced and presented documentaries for TV and radio in the UK and in the US. Her most recent include Extreme Dating, which aired on Current TV in July 2009 and Steroids in our Gyms, on Current TV in August and September 2009.

Starting as a local radio reporter for Silk FM in Cheshire, Helen moved to Independent radio news (IRN) as reporter and newsreader. She made the step into TV by moving to ITN-Productions (then ITN-on) as producer and presenter. She’s reported on key stories such as the inauguration of Gordon Brown and the death of Michael Jackson. She’s also been thrown into presenting special unscheduled live broadcasts on the day of London’s botched bombings and the foiled plot to blow up transatlantic passenger jets.

Helen also worked for Current TV and played a big role in launching - and then producing - the award-winning Current News.
